Replaced 4 old dead bolts that only had two settings, locked with key or open with key. I found the 005s easy to install into the existing openings. The Lockshop keyed the locks to my sample key which I dropped off at the shop.
The 005 can be manually latched without the key which is an important feature to encourage the family to secure the doors. Recent recorded intruder activity in our area highlighted an intruder spending 45 minutes trying to find an unsecured opening on a home at 2.00am. Thankfully unsuccessfully. Another attempt nearby had three masked youths running into a property trying to open the rear door at 6 pm! This is why it’s important to be able to secure the bolt without the key.
