The Venlock Mini will fit the original Venlock hole for direct replacement with the additional benefit of an adjustable backplate to fit a sill thickness of 2 mm, 4 mm, 6 mm or 8 mm.
The new cast alloy body is stronger than the original.

The Remsafe Venlock Mini is easier and quicker to install than any other window restrictor available.
Once installed, the Remsafe Venlock Mini window restrictor enables a window to be opened and closed to the restricted distance without the use of a key each and every time.
Unlike conventional window locks, this unique design feature improves window safety by eliminating the risk of a window being inadvertently unlocked and unrestricted.
New legislation was passed in March 2013 by the NSW Government to prevent children falling from windows. All windows above the ground floor in any existing residential strata schemes must be fitted with a lock or safety device which prevents the window opening more than 12.5cm. Owners corporations will have 5 years to fit these devices retrospectively.
The new laws are in line with changes to the Building Code of Australia which made window safety devices compulsory in new residential buildings from 1 May 2013.

Installation
- Place drilling jig on window sill at the end of the window frame.
- Using a sharp pencil mark the hole position on the window sill.
- Drill hole using a 6.5mm / 1/4 inch drill piece.
- Place window lock on the sill and push to lock.
