Chrome finish looks OK but outer casing is quite thin/soft metal. Unit is lighter than the original ones they were replacing, and a lot more slop/freeplay in the operating lever which gives the feeling of cheap build. Reckon the tension spring that provides the snap action, will break in a few years. Original ones had a different design in the action, felt more solid and still going after many years of daily use. Only replaced due to brass finish being scratched and tarnished. Price was good compared to elsewhere though. Also a drop in replacement for what I think were old Lane units, no finessing was required.
