PRIVACY/SECURITY POLICY
The Lock Shop is dedicated to keeping your details private. Any information, we collect in relation to you, is kept strictly secured. We do not pass on/sell/swap any of your personal details with anyone. We use this information to identify your orders, provide you with our monthly newsletter (if applicable) and to personalise your shopping experience with us; that's all.
The Lock Shop uses cookies to allow you to login to your account, maintain a shopping cart and to purchase items in your shopping cart. Cookies sent to your computer from The Lock Shop only last while you’re browsing our website. We do not store persistent cookies on your computer. Cookies also allow us to give you a more personalised shopping experience by displaying products that interest you throughout our product pages, thus providing you with a more friendly, interesting and enjoyable shopping experience.
Whenever you use our web site, or any other web site, the computer on which the web pages are stored (the Web server) needs to know the network address of your computer so that it can send the requested web pages to your Internet browser. The unique network address of your computer is called its "IP address," and is sent automatically each time you access any Internet site.

When purchasing from The Lock Shop your financial details are passed through a secure server using the latest 128-bit SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption technology.128-bit SSL encryption is approximated to take at least one trillion years to break, and is the industry standard. SHIPPING POLICY
Order and Shipping Information
When you place an order with The Lock Shop, we promptly receive an order notification from our host supplier and payment confirmation from either PayPal or your credit card provider.
Shipping
We choose the best courier/mail service based on your location and the items ordered. Our shipping partners include, but are not limited to, Australia Post, TNT, and StarTrack. If you have special requests, please include them in the 'notes' section of your order. While we strive to accommodate requests, we cannot guarantee specific services or delivery dates.
Stock and Availability
If the product(s) you selected is temporarily out of stock and backordered, we will notify you as soon as possible. We will inform you of the expected restock date or offer a refund through PayPal or your credit card provider.

Shipping Costs
- Free Delivery: All orders over $99 are delivered free anywhere in Australia ((Excluding Safes & Oversize/Bulky goods).
- Standard Delivery: Orders under $99 incur a $9.90 postage and handling fee.
- Safe Delivery: Delivery costs for safes are automatically calculated at checkout based on your location in Australia. Ensure you select the safe shipping method.
Dispatch Lead-time
Overview
As a distributor/reseller, we stock commonly sold items but not all variations in all quantities. Dispatch times vary based on product availability.

- 7+ Business Days: Madinoz, Dormakaba, Halliday & Baillie, Made To Order products
- 5-7 Business Days: ASSA ABLOY (Lockwood, Yale, Whitco, Interlock etc.), Southern Design Group (Tradco, Iver, Bankston), Master Lock, McGrath
- 4-5 Business Days: Allegion (Gainsborough, Briton, Schlage, Legge etc.), Hafel, N2Lok, Sabre, Zanda
- 2-3 Business Days: Abus, ADI, Astra, BDS, Borg, Brava, Carbine, Dalco, Emro, Nidus, Precision, Protector

Factors Affecting Dispatch
- Large orders
- Multiple brand orders
- Keying alike/sample keys
- Extended times for specific items (e.g. Made to Order products)
We aim to dispatch within these times but cannot guarantee it due to the above factors.
Tracking and Express Postage
- We provide a tracking number upon dispatch. Contact the courier for updates.
- For express postage, call 1800 000 300. Additional charges apply.

In-Store Collection
- Location: Visit us at 5/66 Railway Road, Blackburn VIC 3130 for in-store collection.
- Process: If you chose this option at checkout, you will be contacted when your product(s) are ready for collection.
- Availability: Note that not all products are stocked in-store, so the before mentioned lead times apply until they're ready for collection.

RETURN POLICY
At The Lock Shop, our goal is to ensure your complete satisfaction with the products you purchase from us. We understand that you may have questions or concerns, and we are here to assist you in making the right choices. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our Returns Policy for a clear understanding of the process.

Before making a purchase, if you have any uncertainties regarding our product listings, colour options, or suitability for your specific application, we strongly encourage you to contact us. We want to help you make an informed decision and ensure your satisfaction from the start.
Change of Mind Returns:
To return and/or cancel your order for a change of mind you must:
- Notify us in writing within 21 days of the goods purchased.
- Ensure all returned items are in as new, resalable condition and all accessories are included, undamaged.
NOTE: Returns are only accepted if the items are in their original, resalable condition. Please note that returns involving items with sealed internal plastic bags or packaging may not be accepted if the seals have been broken.
Please also note, a restocking fee will apply, and the purchaser is responsible for the return postage cost.
Items that cannot be returned for change of mind return are:
- Made to Order (MTO) or Special-Order items, Additionally Cut Keys.
- Keying Charges i.e. Keyed Alike, Keyed to Differ, or Keyed to Sample.
- Items that are damaged or defective because of misuse or improper installation.
Please kindly contact The Lock Shop before returning any items.
Restocking Fees
We maintain limited stock to offer a wide range of products for our customers. As such, when we receive returned and/or cancelled items we return them to our suppliers. The re-stocking fee we charge is solely based on the supplier(s) charge to us.
- Restocking Fee equal to 20% of the returned/cancelled order items purchase price.
How to Return:
If you have already spoken with a team member from The Lock Shop, please address your package to the attention of that person by including their name. Your package should be labelled to the following address:
