We had an old Gainsborough lock that was 15 years old and had broken. This one was a perfect replacement. Great price and delivered quickly

I purchased this lock to replace the same one that was installed 20 years ago. The new lock feels cheap. Not as smooth to operate as the old one. The feel is hard in materials and actions. On going use will not change the feel. It also looks flatter and dull to the last brushed one we had,

The cast handle of the original Gainsborough lock failed, cracking & coming off in my hands. Tried to find an exact replacement but had to get the modern equivalent that required 2 of the holes to be rectified 12 mm above the originals. That was far enough to get it to work & it’s fully operational again.
